I think what you said made a great deal of sense. But, think on this, what if you added a little content? I ain't saying your information is not good., but what if you added a post title that grabbed a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda vanilla. You should peek at Yahoo's home page and note how they write news titles to get viewers to click. You might add a related video or a pic or two to get readers interested about everything've written. Just my opinion, it might make your website a little bit more interesting.
